Jackson, Mississippi
Finishing second on the list is Jackson, Mississippi. Data also reveals that Jackson has the 10th worst road conditions in America, which may contribute to the number of car and truck accidents that occur there. The city’s first and second most dangerous intersections lie along Robinson Street, so you may want to take an alternative route.
Detroit, Michigan
Detroit earns the third spot on the list, with Interstate 75 being the most dangerous road in Detroit and three surrounding counties. Within the city, the stretch of Interstate 75 between Interstate 94 and Interstate 96 is mainly known for its high number of accidents. Over 200,000 cars travel along Interstate 75 daily.
St. Louis, Missouri
Many car crashes happen around bus stops in St. Louis, but Interstates 64 and 70 see the most collisions annually. When driving in the city, be careful at intersections like Union and Bircher boulevard because many accidents also happen there.
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Baton Rouge ranks among the top five cities with the most vehicle accidents. Experts say that the traffic in Baton Rouge is the fourth worst in the nation, which may contribute to the number of accidents there. The stretch of road between downtown Baton Rouge and Louisiana State University has over 400 accidents annually.
